Lior Kaminsky Elad is an arranger, orchestrator, flutist, composer and songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY.

Lior was born and raised in Israel, where she was always immersed a plethora of musical traditions. ​While growing up she enjoyed playing the piano and singing, but at a young age she fell in love with the flute.

 

She attended the prestigious Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, and later studied Jazz performance at the Jazz Institute in the Rimon School of Music while serving in the IDF as an Outstanding Musician. During her time at Rimon, Lior was awarded the Beracha Foundation Scholarship and the Berklee World Tour Scholarship towards her studies at Berklee College of Music.

 

Lior began her studies at Berklee in 2022, where she pursued a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production with a minor in Creative Entrepreneurship, sharpening her skills as an arranger, composer and producer while gaining studio and stage experience as a flutist and vocalist; her versatility allowed her to take on projects in a wide variety of genres, from Jazz, R&B and Pop/Rock to Classical, Latin and World music. At Berklee, Lior was awarded the Contemporary Writing and Production division's award for Creativity in Commercial Arranging.

Throughout her musical career, Lior has had the honor of working with great musicians like Jeff Ballard, Ittai Gluska (HaDorbanim) and José Aguirre.

 

Having recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee, Lior is now based in New York City, working as a composer and arranger and aspiring to bring all her musical worlds together.
